Computer Input Devices

Input Device:- These are peripheral device's which allow users to feed or insert a raw data, information into the computer.

Some example of Input devices are listed below.

1) Computer Mouse:- 

    It is an input device used in computer to navigate the pointer or a cursor.  It create a sense where graphical user interface become more user friendly. 

Through this mechanical mouse pointer we can draw, select, hover, drag and drop a text, folder, icon...etc, scroll up/down a page, close or open a Application or software....and many work could be done by Mouse. 

Performance of a cursor vary according to the type of instructions feed on that software.

Basically computer mouse consists of three button:- left click button, right click button and at centre a scroll button.

2)Touchpad:- 

    Touchpad is an another inbuilt pointing device similar to mouse in a work, but wider function's then Mouse. 

In another word we also can say that Touchpad is a substitute over conventional Computer Mouse. All laptops are equipped with a Touchpad. 

Desktop user can also use Touchpad as a accessories. It is easier to identify as it located before the keyboard with two buttons at its lower part, left key and right key just similar to simple buttons.

Touchpad is respond only to small electric signals originated by any body. For this reason it didn't respond to pencil paper.. etc.

3)Computer keyboard:- 

    It is a very important peripheral input device. Keyboard is used in typing document, programming, shortcut help..and has many more uses. 

It is made up of various combination of alphanumeric keys, symbolic key, special character keys, function keys, control keys.

*Smartphones and Tablets keyboards are on-screen keyboard.*

Computer keyboard consist of mainly:-

Alphabet Keys:-(A,B,C,D...Z)

Numeric Keys:-(0,1,2,3...9)

Functions keys:-(F1,F2,F3...F12)

Navigation keys:-(Left,Bottom,Home,Delete....)

Control Keys:-(Window, Esc, ctrl, Alt, Caps Lock...) Keys.

4)WebCam:- 

    WebCam is a small camera which is used in computer for live streaming, video conferencing, capturing photos, video recording. It has no inbuilt memory to store any media files. 

Nowadays mostly laptops and some desktops has a inbuilt webcam, however these have a low frame rate, merely no auto focus, low mega pixel. 

So if your need become professional, buy an external WebCam with more specifications like high frame rate, hd camera, glass lens...etc.

5)Microphone/Mic:- 

    This device acts as an sound receiver used for audio recording. 

It receives sound by converting sound waves into electrical signals. Microphone is used for voice recording, voice recognition, computer gaming, chatting...so on.
